Counselling for stress, anxiety or PTSD

Life can feel overwhelming. Stress, anxiety, burnout or sleepless nights can be too much to manage alone. Counselling offers a pause - a safe place to breathe, reflect, and begin to restore balance.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and have nearly 25 years’ experience in supporting people through fatigue and burnout.

My work has taken me from a Rape Crisis Centre in South Africa to a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Australia, as well as many years supporting people whose sleep, mood and wellbeing have been affected by trauma or chronic stress.

I offer warm, down-to-earth counselling and psychotherapy to help you feel steadier, sleep better, and find your feet again.

I support:-

  • Adults managing work stress, burnout or major life changes
  • Children and teens experiencing insomnia or early signs of burnout
  • Individuals seeking gentle support with overwhelm, fatigue or sleep issues
  • Survivors of trauma, including PTSD and sexual violence
  • Those navigating drug or alcohol addiction
  • Anyone living with chronic health conditions that impact energy or sleep.

How we’ll work together

We’ll go at a gentle, steady pace that feels safe for you.

In our first session we get to know each other - what you want, what matters right now, and how you like to work. From there, I use mindfulness, gentle somatic therapies and a solution-focused approach, with practical tools you can use between sessions.

I usually suggest six fortnightly sessions to begin with so there’s space to settle, practise skills, notice change, review and adjust as needed.
