Letting Go, Moving Forward
Big changes are happening and in this month's blog I'm sharing what's next. Plus a beautiful Alan Watts talk that says everything I can't quite put into words.
This month I have a bit of a personal update to share as my life is changing rather dramatically 😄
After 27 years of clinic-based work, I'm moving fully online and stepping away from in-person sessions for the foreseeable future. In their place, I've taken on something rather exciting...
But, before I share that, I want to emphasise that if you're one of my existing clients, I'm still here for you - the only difference is that we will meet online instead of in person. You can still book your consultations via my usual link:
So what am I going to be doing now? I've actually taken a part-time position as a mental health educator at a Recovery College which I'm absolutely LOVING. This has freed up time and energy for me to do more research.
So next month I'm starting my PhD in integrative medicine and for the next 5 or so years I'll be exploring the physiological effects of emotions - essentially the science of how our mental and emotional lives affect our physical health.
Sooooooooooo exciting!
It's a topic I've been passionate about for a long time and I can't wait to dig into the research properly.
So, lots going on! The main thing to know is that if you're an existing client, you can still reach me online. Just use the booking link above. The only change is that I'm not seeing people in person and I'm not currently taking on new clients.
As you can imagine, leaving clinical work and moving more into research has been a huge (and emotional!) decision and I've certainly had my ups and downs lately. But a dear friend sent me a link to this talk by Alan Watts on "Letting Go" and it really settled my soul. Have a listen here ->
That's all from me for now. I'll still be doing my regular health blogs and will keep you updated with what I learn in my research 😄. And please remember, if you don't want to receive my regular newsletters/blogs, you can always unsubscribe at the bottom of every page.
