Practitioner’s Notebook

A collection of reflections for practitioners exploring herbs, remedies, body systems and the deeper process of integrative clinical thinking.
Practitioner’s Notebook

Welcome to my Practitioner’s Notebook, a place where I gather reflections, questions, and observations that have arisen while working in health and healing.

Much of our learning as practitioners does not happen in lecture halls or textbooks. It unfolds gradually through observing patients carefully, thinking deeply about physiology, revisiting remedies and herbs, and slowly recognising patterns in practice.

This space is simply an extension of that process.

Here you will find reflections on topics such as herbs, homoeopathic remedies, tissue salts, body systems, and the connections between physiology, emotions, and clinical practice. Some articles explore individual remedies or plants, while others step back to consider broader patterns that appear in clinical work.

These writings are not intended as formal instruction, but as an invitation to think more deeply about the work we do.

Over time this notebook will grow into a small collection of reflections that practitioners and students can return to when they feel the desire to explore these ideas further.

And if you enjoy thinking about these topics, you are very welcome to join the conversation with other practitioners in my learning groups Thinking Like a Homoeopath and Clinical Conversations.

A small note for practitioners

Please note: The reflections shared in this Practitioner’s Notebook are intended to encourage curiosity and thoughtful exploration among practitioners and students of natural and integrative health. They are not intended to replace structured professional training, clinical supervision, or independent clinical judgement. Practitioners remain responsible for applying appropriate professional standards and referring patients for medical care where appropriate.
