About me

Hi, I’m Ruth Hull. I offer a warm, grounded approach to therapy that brings together counselling, mindfulness, and natural therapies - supporting both your emotional wellbeing and your physical health.
About me

Guided by a lifelong curiosity about the body’s ability to heal itself, I’ve been supporting others on their healing journeys since 1999.

My path began in London as a reflexologist, and over the years it’s led me through many places and traditions—from studying aromatherapy, herbal medicine and homoeopathy in South Africa, to more recently completing a Master’s degree in Counselling here in Australia.

Along the way, I’ve worked in the UK, South Africa, Taiwan and Australia, and I’ve supported people through all sorts of transitions - from hormonal shifts and chronic fatigue to trauma, grief, and burnout.

My early counselling work began in a rape crisis centre in the late '90s, and continued in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation setting in Australia. These experiences taught me how closely our emotional wellbeing is tied to our physical health - and how important it is to feel heard, respected, and met as a whole person.

My approach is gentle but deep - grounded in natural medicine, and guided by warm, supportive conversation. I don’t believe healing has to be complicated. Often, it’s about coming back to the basics: rest, nourishment, understanding your body, and reconnecting with what matters to you.

Whether you're feeling burnt out, stuck, unwell, or simply curious about a more natural way to care for yourself, these sessions offer space to slow down, reflect, and begin healing in a way that feels real and sustainable.

Outside of clinic work, I’ve written several textbooks on anatomy, physiology and pathology, and I love teaching - especially when it helps people better understand how their bodies work. I bring this same love of learning and clarity into my sessions with clients.

If you’re looking for support that honours both science and soul, I’d love to walk alongside you.

My training

I trained as a homoeopathic doctor in South Africa. The programme is closely aligned with conventional (allopathic) medical training: a five-year, full-time university degree with the first three years the same as medicine —anatomy, physiology, pathology and diagnostics —followed by two years focused on natural medicines and nutrition rather than pharmaceutics. My clinical rotations took me into rural clinics and government hospitals, working with diverse communities.

After graduating, I completed two years of research and a Master’s dissertation in Homoeopathy (Health Science) and then went on to do another two year full-time Master's degree in Counselling. In addition, I’ve written textbooks on anatomy, physiology & pathology, taught natural medicine at colleges and mentored homoeopaths and students in casework, remedy selection and integrative thinking.

Altogether, I bring nearly 25 years of clinical experience supporting people with fatigue, insomnia, hormonal shifts, and the emotional load of chronic health conditions —always with gentle, professional care.
